Dating back as far as the Ming dynasty, roughly 1386-1644 A.D., and like its Western counterpart, the Chinese yo-yo maintains its spinning motion through a gyroscopic effect based on conservation of angular momentum. Huh? Just have fun watching these skilled kids from the Greater Boston Cultural Association do all kinds of tricks and you can even give it a try.

Sponsored by Family Health Center of Worcester, Fred Harris Daniels Foundation, Inc. and World Rhythms Dance and Fitness, Dance, Dance Exercise! presents talented students from Woodland Academy, Elm Park, Goddard and Sullivan Middle Schools. Students will demonstrate a variety of dances including salsa, merengue and swing. The student exhibition will morph into a dance extravaganza for family and friends. Come see our students and join in the fun!
