Jim Scott – A Celebration of Peace in Song

First Unitarian Church – Unity Hall

Wesley United Methodist Church – Brewer Hall

Jim Scott - A Celebration of Peace in SongComposer/Guitarist/Singer Jim Scott brings a celebration of peace in song. With lyrical melodies and well-crafted words Jim considers the trials of humanity and our positive responses the challenges – to build and nurture, rather than to suppress and dominate. Jim has long been a champion of ecological and peace issues with his music, and a student of non-violence in daily life.

Awards/Recognitions: Pete Seeger has called Jim “Some kind of a magician.” Known to many as guitarist with the Paul Winter Consort and co-composer of their celebrated “Missa Gaia/Earth Mass,” Jim has gone on to travel the world, record 9 albums of original music and compose a growing line of choral music. He compiled and arranged the “Earth and Spirit Songbook,” a collection of over 110 songs of earth and peace by many contemporary composers.
